Grace

We can believe
in the naked influences
of the silent flow —
sensed, not in the essence
of itself,
but in its effects
and inspirations:
the glorious Lamb-light
rising as joy in a human eye;
the spontaneous expressions
of love;
the emergent sensitivities
to beauty;
the graceful way the body learns to move;
the passion to radically forgive
and make ourselves
and others free.
